Offshore platform specs

Does anyone know what a rough estimate or specific information dealing with the numbers of electrical instrumentation involved with an offshore petroleum production platform.


I know that there is over 25,000 on the Hibernia platform.
I am looking for the rough number and then I can more easily find how much weight all the wired instruments and cable total.

I am also interested in getting some averages from the petroleum industry. Such things as average platform size,layout, number of decks etc... Things for this nature would be a major help to me.

Some platfroms are small unmanned wellhead platforms with no equipment while others are large multiplatform complexes with wellhead platforms, processing platform(s), accomodation etc.

I think the average no. of instruments loops is a little useless without taking this into account.
