Our group creates some very large drawings that involve multiple files to manage the size. I am trying to get the sheet numbers to start at a number other than 1 for the follow on files but have been unable to. Is there a way to change the inital drawing sheet number?

About the best that you're going to be able to do is create a empty 'first' sheet with nothing on it; no views, no border, no title block. Note that this sheet can be the last one on list of sheets, it's just that one of the sheets has to be sheet #1, before you can make any of the other sheets #2. And if you wanted to, to make sure everyone understands what was done, on the face of this 'dummy' sheet you could place a large note explaining that the actual 'First Sheet' can be found in the other Drawing file.

Thanks, I forgot to state that we are using NX8. I just found that I can go into the prferences/drafting preferences/sheet and set the initial sheet number to anything. The drawing sheet numbers then renumber sequentially from there. I am trying to get away from parsing the sheet name and use the sheet number to fill in the format sheet number.

Gee, I missed that one, although I still like my idea of using a 'dummy' sheet with that note about why there's no Sheet #1 in the Drawing file.
