NX8 error - "Not aPart file

Hello everyone,
I am a new forum member and I am having a problem with Unigraphics NX 8. how to open UG files in Nx viewier. tell me about the convertion. I send the file. Maybe someone can open it.

I got it from my company. We worked there just to nx8. On the home computer does not work. Please help

Do you have the student/educational version of NX8 at home?
Where did you get the license file for NX8 for your home computer from?

I have versions of the Licence for students. Someone will help me?

You can't mix parts from the Student version with full NX.

I have given this file a friend who also has full versions of the program and can not open this file

that comes with the full version NX8 of my work. wants to open a file to complete the project but I can not.

May I suggest that you call GTAC so that someone can walk through your 'workflow' step by step and see what exactly it is that you're attempting to do.

But I must warn you, if this involves trying to move parts from a full version of NX to a Student version and back, you will not get much help.

If you only have NX7/7.5 student version at home, you cannot open a NX8 file. Plus, like John said, the student version cannot open a full version file.

I tried opening it and was not able to. As far as NX is concerned, this appears to be a 'foreign' file.

I too heard of this issue, solution is open this either in higher version or new version in which that file is created.

Ex: created in NX3.5.2.5, Unable to open, then go with new NX version

Sorry, but if it were a newer version the error message would indicate that that was the problem. Besides, I tried opening it in NX 8.0, the latest version of NX (and I've got an 18 year old UG part file which I can open just fine).
