Hello,

I have a situation where I have a part that needs to be modified for blow-molding. Basically, the original design didn't leave enough space between the main body and a limb, so the solution (without changing overall dimensions) is to push the wall of the main body facing the limb in by 5mm. I've indicated the change in a picture I've attached.

Right now, I'm having trouble modeling the change in CAD. My choices for software are NX7.5, Solidworks 2006 or Catia V5. I'm limited to working with a single stp file, so I can't just change the sketches. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to approach this on any of the 3 CAD software I listed.

We'd have to have the actual part file before anyone could advise you as to a possible approach.
