Hi All,

In NX 9.0.2.5 the post processor dialog box is changing itself from having Browse for output file to not
having the option Browse for output file. The 1st time it is missing the option I get A message titled 'UGII_CAM_SETUP_ROOT_DIR undefined'
and the message says 'UGII_TMP_DIR will be used to output CAM data' I have never seen this or set this in any other version of NX. Sometimes I can get around it by resetting roles or switching back and forth roles. I do not run managed or TC. The problem is intermittent. I just want
the post output to go where the part file is or I want to Browse for folder. This is driving me crazy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In your current configuration file (as seen in preferences), is there a keyword LIBRARY_CAM_OUTPUT?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the response. I thought this one was put to bed but again re-occurred.

Not sure what you mean by current config file. Do you mean inside NX9 under preferences manufacturing.
or ugii_env_ug.dat file in UGII. Regardless I do not see LIBRARY_CAM_OUTPUT set. Just see in ugii_env_ug.dat a message about it but it is not set unless you meant somewhere else.

Thanks,

Rick D

Look in Menu > Preferences > Manufacturing > Configuration > Configuration File.
You will see a path such as d:\users\rief\nx9\resource\configuration\cam_general.dat.
Open the .dat file in a text editor.
If you are not managing your output, you should NOT have a line like this:
Code:
LIBRARY_CAM_OUTPUT,${UGII_CAM_LIBRARY_TEMPLATE_DIR}cam_output.def,${UGII_CAM_LIBRARY_TEMPLATE_DIR}cam_output.tcl
