NX 7.5 synchronize subassembly layers glitch

Hi, we organize our assemblies with a specific layer for each type of component. Instead of creating the drawings in the same part, we create another part and add the desired assembly as a component, in the component properties we set the layer to be -specified layer 137- then we proceede to synchronize the layers, display and attributes.
Normally this would change the components inside the assembly to the layer corresponding in the assembly (this works fine) and leave the parent assembly on the layer 137, but we ran into a couple of assemblies, that when we make this process, the layers inside are sync correctly but the parent assembly is automatically changed to layer 1 inside the drawing, instead of the 137 that was defined originally, this change happens when the sync layers button is pressed.

I added the assembly to another drawing and viceversa, and the troubled assembly behaves the same in others drawings, and other assemblies behaves correctly on the troubled drawing, so the problem is in the assembly not in the drawing.

Something in the assembly is overriding the value given in the drawing when the layers are being sync, do anyone have an idea why this happens?

Thanks

I'm unaware of a 'sync layers' command; is this a custom function? If not, where can it be found in the menus/toolbars?

hi, by 'sync layers' i meant right clicking the component in the assembly navigator ->properties->'assembly' tab->'synchronize subassembly properties' section -> 'layers' button.

the first step is setting the layer to 'specified layer' 137 in that menu, then all the components inside the assembly and the assembly itself is moved to layer 137.
then in that menu, we click the layers button, which synchronizes the layers of the components inside that assembly, but normally this would leave the assembly itself in the layer 137, the problem is that when we click the synchronize layers button, instedad of leaving the assembly in the layer 137, is moved to layer 1.

I attached a picture to be more clear, its sounds a little odd each time i use the word assembly, because it can be interpreted as the assembly i added to the current part, or to the part to which i added this assembly as a component.

regards
