Hi. I am given a graduate level finite element vibration analysis course. The book i use is Introduction to Finite Element Vibration Analysis by Maurice Petyt. Because I am a newbie of Finite element this book doesn't help me well. Could please someone advise me a book, covering whole idea and giving numerical examples; including all steps? Because although i understand the general idea i do not understand the details such like substituting boundary conditions. Thanks in advance.

A very good book on FE analysis for engineers is "Concepts and Applications of Finite Element Analysis", by Cook, Malkus,Plesha and Witt. It has a good combination of basic theory and applications.

I would not recommend Cook's book. There are NO EXAMPLES!
