I'm trying to create a datum plane and I want it to be normal to a plane and through a curve which resides on that plane. The curve is a straight line that was sketched. I can't seem to do this by just selecting the curve and the plane. I've tried Inferred, Curves and Points, and probably a few others with no success. In the past I've created a Line at one of the endpoints of the line and normal to the plane, then created the new datum plane using Two Lines, but that just seems like a work around for something that should be simple. Is there a way to do this that I'm missing or is that my only option?

Using the 'inferred' option: pick the line (not at a control point) then the plane, type in 90 for the angle.

Works for me in either pick order. Trick seems to be picking on the line away from a control point.

<smacks forehead> I don't believe it's that easy! I've been picking the endpoints of the line all this time.

Cowski I will hoist a couple in your honor thisa Sunday!
