When doing non linear analysis of reinforced concrete beam, do I need to select any built-in model for concrete in software? like total strain fixed or rotating model?
I only know the compressive stress of 28 days of concrete is 30Mpa and tensile stress of 28 days of concrete is 3Mpa.
Then if I only define these values in the syntax, why don't the model stops when concrete reaches its tensile stress i.e 3MPa.
Like for reinforcement, if it reaches the yield stress i.e 240Mpa at some value of load, and still it is loaded then the stresses become constant and for any load above the yield stress, the model shows 240MPa stress. (I used von mises yield criteria for reinforcement)
Thanks for the help
