Am I right in assuming that the reactions at all the supported nodes should be equal to total load applied?

Yes, that’s one of the first things to check when verifying the results of the static analysis - ensure that the sum of reaction forces in each direction is equal to applied loads. You can also use Free Body Cut tool to do a similar check for representative cross-section of the model.
 
And the effects of acceleration, gravity, thermal, etc loads.
