Has anyone heard of this issue, where your company did not upgrade their SolidWorks and the hard drive dies before they can transfer the license?
No support to call and have the old hard drive locked out to give a new seat to the current user of an unsupported SolidWorks. Will our old SolidWorks VAR support us?
This has not happened yet, but I know it will someday.

VAR will support you. Just called and tell them what happened and I am sure they will release the seat for you... I used to do it all the time when I worked for the VAR.
