I'm looking for verification of satisfactory performance of Nitronic 50 (UNS S20910) as centrifugal pump shaft, casing wear ring, and interstage bushings in pumping lean amine solution within a gas sweetening plant. It will be a substitute for the specified 316/316L materials in order to keep the shaft size down owing to the higher strength. Grateful if anybody can confirm satisfactory performance in the same or similar applications. Many thanks in advance.

You might want to take a look at this site information on Nitronic 50 (22-13-5). This alloy is also available as Aquament 22 in TGP bar. There is also Aquamet 22 HS, a little higher strength. It is also sold under the name Aqualoy and Aquatech

The full brochure has a wealth of data on Nitronic 50.
It is almost a copy of the old ARMCO Nitronic Alloys material.

My dealings with these people have been very good.

Thanks guys. I have Nitronic 50 datasheets coming out of my ears but I don't see any performance history specific to service in lean amine solutions, more specifically, Sulfinol with a trace loading of H2S; hence my question.

There was not a whole lot of information on this subject in the public domain. The reference to check out below is from Fisher, actually their magazine Fisher in Control (issue 7);

groups/public/documents/newletters/fisherincontrolissue7.pdf

An article in this four page publication specifically mentions the use of Nitronic 50 material for valve stems in lean-amine recirculation pump service.
