Hello,

I have upgraded my home computer to use a Nvidia Quadro Fx500 AGP. I know very sad... anyway it works but I have basically lost my color red. No adjusting will bring it back. Is it a bad card or my 10 year old monitor? I know not much to go on I just need a place to start. I had a 3d Labs Oxygen card in it which worked ok.

Thanks,
Dennis

Can you place the old card back in and see if your Red comes back? Also, it might be time to dump the 15" CRT. [wink]

Have you read faq731-376 to make the best use of these Forums?

Did you remove the Oxygen driver before installing the new certified nVidia one?

[cheers]

Want my old card? I think I've got it around here somewhere--might be good enough for a test, if nothing else. (Funny, I also had an Oxygen card in an even older system.)

MadMango: Will try that when I get a minute. You're right about the monitor but it is a 17". [pipe]

CBL: I didn't do that but tried it last night and the same result. [pipe]

Jeff: It never fails, just do enough to get by and you are continually upgrading.

I may also try a slightly newer monitor.

Thanks guys.

Do you have access to another computer (work, friend, relative) to be able to test the fx500 card in?

[cheers]

Check the pins on the cable connector as well.

Well guys new job and computer. Closer to home and compare signature from the one above. I am in SW Heaven.

P.S. was a bent pin on connector and it now works as expected. Thanks.
