Went into the employee owned chain I've been using for a decade or so, looking for some bronze wire/filler/rod for Tig brazing.
The fellow behind the counter was no one I recognized.

Went over to the section of wall where plastic tubes of Blue Demon rod are displayed. The mice-enough new guy came over and asked if he could help. I said I'm looking for some wire to do some TIG brazing. With a sweep of his hand he pointed to the copper plated steel products and said "there are the brazing rods." I gently explained those are steel rods for TIG welding, and I need bronze rod without a flux coating, to do some TIG brazing. I found some silicon bronze that said it was for TIG brazing and bought a pound of 3/16" diameter.
At the register it rang up for about 2 bucks more than the price on the wall, so I said, gee, it's marked less on the wall.
His reply was there is a new manager, and the inventory was real messed up under the old manager, and "things are going to change, yeah, things are really going to change."
I think they already have.

Most of the B&M welding supply stores are so bad, I order it all online. Most I go into these days I'm seeing 50% markup on some items.
