A tank of Height 60’ and Diameter 200’. It is insulated and it will be inspected for roundness and plumpness.
A bulge is expected to be detected through internal inspection.
Do you know about the latest inspection techniques to be used and those companies capable to carry out such inspection?
Once the tank is open and we get inside, how to assess distortion at inspection time.
I have heard about a new technique as laser scan, which can give me the internal profile of the tank in order to know the existence of bulges, dents and so.
My understanding is that an internal settlement survey should be mandatory as part of inspection.
