New File Options

Is it possible to go back to the New File Options dialog box to enter a part description and author info even after a part has been created?

Yes & no - you can't return to the New File Options, but youcan set them as parameters (PTC_COMMON_NAME, CREATED_BY, DESCRIPTION) assuming that the parametersare in the part.

Here's what I'm trying to do.


In a drawing, I want to create a bill of materials table that includes a 'Description' field in addition to fields for 'Item', 'Part Number', and 'Qty'.


How can I link the 'Description' parameter of a part to show up in the 'Description' field in my BOM?


I'm not very proficient at this so you may have to dumb it down a little.
