I am looking for a pump that can pump both liquid and gas . My current process is vacuum coating About 50 g of viscous fluid is dosed on a substrate 25g of which is coated and the rest is sucked by the vacuum into a baffled separater . I am thinking of replacing this system with a pump of piston type which can provide the vacuum pressure during the suction movemnet and discharge the gas and liquid present by the discharge motion.

Is this like a lab set up?

Som kind of ejector pump might do it if contamination with the motive fluid is OK?

Make life easy, purchase 2 separate units, one to suck and one to blow. Please excuse the highly technical language used - but seems to suit the question.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
