Need help in adding thickness

I have a complete solid carotid artery from Grab CAD from the below link.

I need to add some thickness to that so that is gives me two different components. I'm not very good or familiar with CAD especially Solidworks. I tried using thicken option in Solidworks but that does'nt work.

can anyone help me out?
