Greetings.

I am looking for a portable light source to use for inspecting fuel tanks, empty fuel drums, solvent containers, etc.

The requirements are;
It cannot be electrical, even though they make electric lights for this purpose.

Of course no flame, or heat.

Must be portable, and be able to stow on one's person.

Last at least 3 hours.

Reasonably bright for inspection purposes.

Those glow sticks with the bi-chemicals are OK, but was wondering if something else has popped up out there.

Thanks.

Thanks.
Yes those would work, but this is more for a "first responder" type kit, and am trying to make it as simple as I can.

Trying to keep Battery check logs and such to a minimum.
Thanks.

We use small crank gererator/LED flashlights in our emergency kits, no batteries, no bulbs.
If you reallly want no electcricity then chemical lum is about the only way to go. There are a bunch of different colors, intensities and lifetime combinations out there.

Corrosion never sleeps, but it can be managed.
