This was my original thread: thread561-356886

I've found myself changing this all the time to get the Alphanumeric Navigator order. So today I tried to save it in my seed files and it doesn't work.

Also looked for something on it in Customer defaults but I'm having no luck.

Can this be set so I don't have to keep changing it?

TIA Dave

Ostensibly, the Assembly Navigator 'order' is saved with the Part file, however, in the case of Template Parts, that's not the case as they are treated differently then when simply opening an exiting file. While most of the options which were set when the template part was created will be inherited by the 'New Part' file that's created using the template, there are a few things which are not, Assembly Navigator order being one of these. And for NX 9.0, that order is hard-coded to be 'Chronological'.

However, starting with the next version of NX, using Customer Defaults you'll be able to set what the Assembly Navigator 'order' will be when creating a 'New Part', irrespective of what was set in the template part.
