Hi,

I have a simple plane strain problem in which an angle profile is loaded by a pull-off tip loading. I need to run plane strain analysis in a sequence of unknown number. I am supposed to use SOL101 but other solvers (like SOL400 or SOL600) with linear option also acceptable.

The profile material is composite but i will model it with an equivalent orthotropic material. From the beginning ( creation of FE model) to the end (attach the results and report the critical locations) I prepared a pcl.

The problem is related to the material and property. I could not create plane strain property which refers / calls an orthotropic material. I tried using PSHELL, but it does not work with MAT8. Actually anisotropic material (MAT2) would also be acceptable but PSHELL accepts only MAT1 in the case of plane strain. I tried using PLCOMP but that either does not works.

I also had couple of tries with SOL400 and SOL600. But the results are similar.

In summary, my question is how to create a plane strain analysis with an orthotropic (or anisotropic) material?
