Nastran / Patran Basic Q: Lumped mass 1

I'm learning to use this software, pretty great.
Though the learning curve has been something else.

I've modeled a very simple portal frame and perform a linear static and a normal modes analysis using Patran / Nastran.

I then wanted to add a point mass and see the effects.

My concern is how I add that mass.

To add that mass, my understanding is that I use CONM2 by (in patran) creating a 0d lumped mass (on the properties palette).
For that I set a mass value and the application point which is a node on the top of the beam.

On both analyses the mass doesn't seem to make a difference / have an affect.
Is that (CONM2) just a property that I have to further assign to an element or something? I'm guessing here...

I haven't set any special load cases or anything.
I've played with gravity, which was fun...

Solved: Create a point element and assign it the mass properties.

(In patran) Under finite elements (meshing pallette)

Create - Element - Edit
Shape: point
Select existing property or create desired property.
(i created a new mass property, lumped).
