nastran / hypermesh

It is so strange to me that GM replaced Nastran with hypermesh.
Does anyone knows the real reason?

Recommended for you

Hypermesh is a pre and post processor. Nastran is mainly a solver. How do you replace a solver by a pre/post processor?
