Multiple revsions of a part in an assembly 1

Where is the setting that controls whether multiple revisions of the same component part number are allowed in an assembly? I.E., an assembly that contains both "part1 rev a" and "part 1 rev b".

It is possible, I can do it on my workstation. Another engineer cannot.

In Teamcenter with the "Enable Multiple revisions" NX customer default (Teamcenter Integration for NX, General, Multiple revisions) set it is possible to define, load and display an assembly with multiple revisions of a given component.
