Multi Axis Load Cell 1

I need a light weight force transducer to measure forces up to 2000N in Fz and approx 1000N in Fx and Fy. I have looked into purchasing multi axis load cells but the ones which are lightweight and small do not measure loads up to these values. I am interested in making my own load cell so any information on how a multi axis load cell works would be appreciated. I understand the basic principles of how load cells work but need more detailed information on its set up (transducers used, arrangement, structure etc)
