Section 6.2.2.10 in the MSJC (ACI 530) has a requirement that has changed a bit over recent editions.
In the 530-02
For seismic design category D, this code required masonry anchored veneer to be supported at each level independently at each level. (i.e. relief angles).
In the 530-05
For SDC D, this requirement was moved to ONLY apply to SDC E and F. No longer required for SDC D.
My question is - for the 530-08, has this remained the same? Is the requirement still only applicable to SDC E and F?
We are designing a project under 02, but was curious as to how this provision has developed over recent editions.
