I am thinking of moulding a PVC part, the grade is t.b.a.
I was wondering if anyone had any mould experience with PVC.
I was thinking of using pre-toughened stainless steel 1.2316
for the core & cavity plates as these appear to be good for a textured finish, as well as being resistant to the aggresive nature of the polymer.
Would you recommend a further hard chroming treatment to the moulding area or will the stainless steel be acceptable.
The quantities could be 50,000 PA.
Your experience would help to clarify my steel selection.
Thanks
