Has there been any successful attempt in automating mogas blending operation? Is it really possible to eliminate component tanks? May I ask suggestions on how to choose the right type of on-line analyzer? (Is NIR really better than NMR?)

We have some very successful Automatic Gasoline blending references.
You can eliminate component tank if you invest in a better analyzer system(*) . In line automatic blending can also minimize the need for “product tank” or even eliminate it.
NIR is wider used and there are more successes on it then on NMR.
NMR is also MUCH more expensive to install and operate.
You are welcome to contact us direct for further discussion of your needs/application.

* - The NIR analysis system we are working with ("PetroMetriX") is having the option to add more (up to 15) field units (=additional streams) up to two (2) miles distant from a single Main Analyzer. Hence the additional cost for each additional stream is reasonable
