Modify NC Resources Parameters

Strangely enough, parameters of NC Resources in a CATProcess are ALL read-only from a programmatic point of view. How can I turn these parameters "read/write" and/or where are the read/write copies of these parameters? Because there's a read/write copy somewhere since the parameters of these entities ARE interactively modifiable.
