Hello

Do anybody model the supports by point support in corners of the walls instead of line support along bottom edge? Are there any advantages? I mean global analysis of buildings.

Best regards

It's not generally a good idea. The wall behaves more flexibly than it should.... Even for wood shear walls. I go with continuous shear and vertical support. Again, even for wood walls. The tricky part becomes taking the total forces in the multiple supports and converting those into the design forces (and moment) about the center of the wall.
