Hello gentlemen,

I'd like to ask for your help again. Do you know how to model a frequency depenedent damper in A/CAR? Just to be clear, the logic behind this damper is that there are several damping characteristics based on the wheel movement frequency. I can create multiple damper on top of each other with the different characteristics, then add a force actuator which would then create an opposite force to dampers I won't to be off. The only issue is how to set the logic for this actuator. Is there a function to obtain frequency of a relative movement?

Thank you for the answers.

You'd have to write your own sub for that , maybe in simulink. Conceptually there is a problem in that at any instant of time there isn't really a frequency in the motion, unless you are happy to use acceleration/velocity, which in practical terms is a nightmare.

Hello Greg,

thank you for your suggestion. Is there maybe a tutorial for user written subroutines?

Thanks,

Not that I know of. There is an MSC course on it, and in the Help there's file:///C:/Legacy/MSC.Software/Adams_x64/2013_2/help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=adams_solver/user_written.html#1039495
