Dear Fellows,
I am new to Adams & Dynamic Simulation. I am wondering, how to model a Ball Joint with controlled Rotational Movement representing a Spherical Bearing.
I think of a couple of ways, coming from my exploration of the program so far,
1. Defining a contact between the cad parts, so that after the design specified rotation, contact will occur and further movement will be stopped. But for this, the assembly of the parts should be done precisely with accurate geometry, the simplification of the cad parts in Adams won’t help.
2. Defining an Impact Function i.e. BISTOP Function specifying the prescribed rotation, then Impact Force will stop the further rotation of the joint.
Is there any other way, which can be used to model a joint representing a Spherical Bearing with prescribed ± Degree of Rotation.
