Modeling O.D.Cam Profile, HELP

[JONGPC]

I need help modeling a O.D. Cam Profile on a cylinder.
Think of an extruded cut (Keyway) normal to the axis of a shaft, but the extrude wraps around the shaft
instead of in a straight line.

Using CREO 3.

Sounds like you may want to create the cutout volume in surfacing, then solidify
