I have tried several different methods to model composite steel girders with concrete deck using Staadpro and have this to consider. The model with the best results is to model the deck with elements and then put the girders in as offset beams with the offset equal the distance from center of slab to center of gravity of girder. This produces results that are very close to MDX results.
