MAIN QUESTION:
How would I model a constraint (or element) that possesses linear stiffness in tension but zero stiffness in compression using Nastran MSC and SOL101?

MORE INFO:
--I'm aware that for a nonlinear analysis (such as SOL 106) I can just assign a piece-wise curve to the stiffness. But that would of course not be supported in SOL 101
--I'm aware that the element CGAP possesses these properties (i.e., stiffness in only tension or compression) but this element is not supported in MSC Nastran SOL 101
--I've read about some tricks to model linear contact in SOL 101 using MPCs and SPoints, but all tricks I've tried only work in the contact mechanism (compressive stiffness and no tensile stiffness) and not the cable mechanism (tensile stiffness and no compressive stiffness)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

BTW, if you flip the orientation of a gap element it would behave as a tension link (tensile stiffness and no compressive stiffness).
