Good morning,

I was hoping that someone could lead me in the right code to see what the minimum distance requirement is for a shutoff valve and a boiler following ASME codes and standards. I just need to find documentation for my report.

Thanks in advance,

Zero mm, i.e. bolted direct to the flange on a nozzle?? I'm not aware of any minimum piping distance in the codes as this would not make sense. There may be practical reasons or guidelines from certain vendors,, but no mandatory requirement to have a minimum distance AFAIK.

Thank you LittleInch
