Mill a slot, with a ball bottom, where its not deep enough to reach ballmills tangent.

I've modeled a vacuum fixture, and it has a grid pattern of ball troughs. Trying to get a ballmill to run down the center of them all. The troughs are only .03 deep so not up to tangent of 3/16 ballmill, to mill it as a real slot.
 
What version on NX are you using? What type of operation are you trying to use?

It's easiest if you have a curve down the center of each slot. Then you can use planar milling for 2D, or surface contouring with point/curve drive method for 3D cutting.
