MIL-STD-810

I have a question regarding MIL-STD-810. Are not the different issues (F vs G) superseded? We have a customer refering to both 810C, 810F and 810G. Is that necessary. Does not G superceede both C and F (D and E also for that matter)Thanks for any insight

While G technically supercedes all previous versions, that only really applies to new designs. A legacy design might be qualified under a previous version, and no one may want to pay for re-qualification with the new version(s).
