Testing based on requirements defined in MIL-STD-810G and your Life Cycle Environmental Profile (LCEP) is not always necessary. If empirical data can be compiled on a certain bill of materials, this can be combined in a Compliance by Analysis Report. And, it is cheaper for a Fungus requirement to do that rather than pay for the test. Which, depending on the extent of the standard applied, could be 30 day or 90 day test. Consultants usually are the best choice for writing these types of reports.
