Does any body know why my ustation shuts down when I'm trying to insert text using key-in?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Why keyins are you typing?
What exactly are you doing and what happens..
Why use keyin to place text when there is an icon for place text..?
Have a look at your preferences to see what key combination is for exit ustn?
