Metric Bolt Specs

We have a client that is specifying ISO 4016 bolts. As I understand it this is a partially threaded bolt. Every vendor I talk to acts like I'm requesting Unobtainium. They want to provide bolts that meet DIN 933. I have a few questions. Hasn't DIN 933 been withdrawn and replaced by ISO 4017? It has according to Wikipedia. If so, why do these bolt vendors still insist on quoting DIN 933? Also, what's so dang hard about getting ISO 4016? I'm in the US working on a job that is going to ship overseas, so I don't have a lot of experience with metric fasteners. It's been painful every step of the way. If anybody knows of a company in the US that really knows their stuff and can actually be helpful, I would appreciate you letting me know.

I ran in a similar situation not so long ago (it dealt with the nut side). I needed DIN 934 nuts, but noticed the replacement to ISO 4032.
These 4032's are not readily available (unless I was willing to pay a factor x, say 5, more of the cost of DIN 934 nuts). So I went back to DIN 934 nuts.
The committees who are pushing changes and trying to globalize standards, I guess, dont understandor see the market's response, or the market cant change in a very short period of time.
