Greetings,

My challenge is to come up with simplified model of lead rubber bearing and simulate for seismic isolation of a large Steel equipment.
I need a suitable element ( similar to COMBIN40 in ANSYS) which can simulate bilinear model and consider effect of viscous damping.
The basic parameters of the lead rubber bearing mainly include: stiffness before yielding K1, stiffness after yielding K2, yield load Qy, damping ratio C.

You could try modelling this with connectors. They offer a lot of flexibility and you can define several behaviors for them (including elasticity, plasticity and damping). They are also available with different DOFs for various purposes.

Thank you for your suggestion.
Can you recommend specific type of connector that i should use?

In this case you should use axial connector but you may also need the slot one. Apart from that, take a look at how connectors can be used in parallel and in series (documentation chapter "Connector behavior".
