method that been use to measure the heavy construction equipment gas emission

Hi guys

I reaally need help for this topic,
I have got a Project to find information about all the method that been use to measure the heavy construction equipment gas emission.
so far I only find one which is PEMS (Portable emissions measurement system), however there is not a lot of information about it, and how its work.

I need all the Method to measure the gas emission and
I need to know more about how the PEMS work

could some one help me PLEASE.

Since this forum is used by people all over the world you are going to have to provide some more info, like what part of the world are you concerned about?

In the US driving force is the EPA, and where I live CARB pushes even further. Both have websites with a great deal of info regarding non or off road engine emissions. Also the manufacturer and local dealer of the affected equipment should be able to help answer those questions as well.

Last thing, this post may have been better in another thread, like engine and fuel engineering.
