Mesh Reinforcement

Hi,
I'm designing a thrust wall and propose A393 mesh in one (x) direction and cannot meet the requirements of the reinforcement in the 'y' direction by proposing A393.
Size of the thrust wall is 3000mm x 1000mm.

One solution is to introduce the reinforcements as individual bars.
Alternatively I could increase the spec of the mesh to - B1131.
Can I propose twin A393 to achieve the required reinforcement?

The contractor does not want to introduce any at all- which doesn't sound correct.

Please advice.

If you put two layers of mesh, you will increase the labor costs. If you specify individual bars you will increase the labor cost. If you upsize the mesh, you will increase the material cost. Which is the lesser of the evils?

Of course the contractor wants no reinforcement....that would give him more profit. Not his decision though!

This is not a large wall...don't overthink it
 
Other than for patching concrete surfaces (walls and slabs), I try to avoid using WWM, and, when I use it, use only flat sheets... never rolled.
