By the costumer requirement I have to supply 2 m3 /min at 0.5 bar,or 70CFM at 7 PSIG .
Of course the best option to it is a ROOTS type blower.

But I want the source to be a 7 bar or 100 PSIG commpresor , just because I need to filter and dry the air to be esteril, and I can not get filters mean to be used at 0.500 bar .

So I will have the air dry and filter at the 7 bar , and then I will drop the pressure by a diaphragm regulator to 0.5 bar.
Also as the pipe will be small it will lower the commissioning cost.
The task to do is to supply air to a RUSHTON mixer in a aerobic process , so the air shall be input under about 2500 mm water column , the rest of the pressure will be lost in valves and piping etc.

I would put a receiver at the point of use and regulate the air out of the receiver to the 7 psig. It will give you a more consistent supply of air to the process and you won't have to worry about line losses as much.

Hi CRJones , thanks for your's tip , what is yours pro and cons to compressor - blower .
