Hi!

I have inserted a mass idealisation at the gravity center of a part. My probleme is that during the analysis, Mechanica stops, telling that the mass is not assigned to any element...

To build the gravity center, I have used the datum creation tools to which I have affected the coordinates given by the model analysis.
Does anyone have an idea why it doesn't work?

Thanks !

The idealized mass must be meshed to the rest of the volume(s) in your model. You may connect the rest of your model to the point mass using beams. Make sure you don't add more weight than you need to based on the properties you assign to the beam and make sure it's stiff enough to represent the manner in which the idealized mass is connected to the rest of the model.

Cheers,
