The company I work for is currently using Pro/E 2001 and Pro/Mechanica
but we will be switching to Wildfire and the newer version of
Mechanica. Because of this switch, several of the engineers will be
taking a class to get us all up to speed on Wildfire. We would also
like to get up to speed with the newer versions of Mechanica, but we
are trying to determine if we all need to take a class for this. My
question is this....is the newer version of Mechanica similar enough to
the older version that users of the older version can pick it up pretty
quick?

I'd say yes, they can pick it up easily.

yes, they should have no problem.

Mechanica for WF2 is more icon driven as opposed to menu driven but the resulting dialog boxes and method are the same. I think Mechanica training is unnecessary when going from 2001 to WF2.
