Hi, Im new to the forum.
I am involved in doing signal processing for speech signals and what i need to do is get several values for the first and second harmonic amplitdues at different points in a vowel.
What I have done so far is I have attempted to window section by section using a Hamming window, with the script iterating through each section and using fft to get the amplitude values at each section. I am a little confused how to use the fft, other programs i use, use 512 point analysis size but when i try to do this in matlab the output looks quite erroneous.
This is probably something that is very easy to do and I would be most grateful if anyone has any advice for me.
