Measuring Area in 2-D

I need to know how to measure area on a 2-D view.

Copy paste your closed area in 2d back to 3d, create a fill surface, measure the surface area.

go back into your 3D and measure it, there are measurement commands in there. What are you trying to measure in the 2D?? or do you have a "dumb" plan without the 3D pièce that made it??
