Hello everyone,

Is there a "quick" way of measuring complete edge of a complex part? (or any workaround)
I have unfolded sheet metal part and need to know outer edge length so i can determine how much time we need for machining...

Thanks.

you can make a boundary in GSD and measure it.

I did the Tangent Continuity extraction but it still doesnt measure my full edge, just till the next radius,
can you explain what u meant by "then use Measure Item(with perimeter set on)." ?

Fernando,

thanks for the help,
i did what you wrote only problem is it counts in all pilot holes i have on the surface but still, i can work with this.

Thank you...

pilot holes is not a problem..when you use boundary choose complete or point continuity. you get the message from catia do you want to keep all elements or near/far..choose near/far.another dialog box appears.choose as reference outside boundary.done and now you can mesure item (boundary)
